After an exceptionally wet period (119.5mm in 28 days), conditions have improved markedly over the last week with only 5.5mm of rain and a warming, breezy trend — but only one fully dry day has passed since the last light precipitation (0.5mm on Feb 24). The SW-facing, exposed aspect and today's strong SW winds at 13°C are working hard to dry the rock, but the prolonged winter saturation means internal moisture likely persists and a visual on-site assessment is essential before climbing.
Based on weather conditions only — does not cover bird nesting restrictions or other access issues.

Climbing Outlook
Site Details
The companion crag to Kyloe-in-the-Woods, situated on open ground approximately 5km west of the A1 near the village of Lowick. A series of isolated natural sandstone buttresses — including Saints Wall, Space Buttress, and Central Wall — offering primarily trad climbing well distributed across grades with particular strength in the Severe to HVS range, plus some bouldering (Font 4–7a). Being open and exposed, it dries more readily than its sheltered woodland neighbour, but the porous Fell Sandstone must still be given 2–3 dry days after rain. Spectacular views across the Cheviot Hills and out to Lindisfarne. Access is permissive by agreement with the farmer; park on the road verge at NU 035 399, taking care not to block the farm gate.
