Dry

Climbed a couple of problems in Shaftoe south area. Everything was dry.

Drying

After sunshine and recent strong winds nearly any rock that wasn’t a roof or under vegetation was totally dry today. Arête land in particular was in good high friction conditions this evening. Forecasted showers never arrived (checked on Met Office radar). Caution is still required. Caves and roofs are not quite dry yet. The Neb Roof was still slightly damp and showing signs of wear from recent climbs when in poor condition.

Drying

Most south facing or exposed blocks and walls were dry today. The Turtle Rock south face and Punch Bowl were climbable. Sheltered caves overhangs and cracks such as the Neb Roof are still green and damp to touch, but improving in condition since earlier in the week.

Drying

Most exposed south facing blocks and slabs were dry and looked ready to climb. Northerly aspects, as well as caves, steep overhangs, deep cracks and pockets were often still visibly damp. For examples Neb Roof and Main Buttress will take a while yet to dry out.
