Quayfoot Buttress has had five consecutive dry days with warm temperatures and southerly sun exposure, providing excellent drying conditions on this non-porous Borrowdale Volcanic rock. The crag should be thoroughly dry and offering superb friction today.

Scout Crag has had five consecutive dry days with warm temperatures and a south-facing aspect, meaning the non-porous BVS rock should be thoroughly dry and offering excellent friction. The last meaningful rain (3.3mm on Aug 9) is well behind, and today is dry — conditions are genuinely good for climbing.

Shepherd's Crag has had 5 consecutive dry days following only light rain (5mm on Aug 9), with warm temperatures and good solar exposure on its south-facing aspect — the rock should be thoroughly dry today. Conditions will deteriorate significantly from Aug 17 onwards as a wet spell moves in.

Raven Crag has had five consecutive dry days with good sun exposure on Aug 11–13 (up to 25°C), and the south-facing volcanic rock will have dried thoroughly. Today's conditions look good for climbing, though humidity is elevated and deterioration is forecast from tomorrow onwards.
