The rock should be thoroughly dry today and through the weekend before rain arrives on Monday.

Five consecutive dry days with strong westerly winds have thoroughly dried the non-porous dolerite surface at Crag Lough. Conditions today are good for climbing, with the rock well-aired despite the north-facing aspect.

Kyloe Out has had 5 consecutive dry days following 5.3mm of rain on August 9th, with warm temperatures (up to 29.9°C), moderate-to-good winds, and a favourable SW aspect — comfortably exceeding the 2–3 dry day guideline for this exposed crag. Conditions today should be dry, but rain returns from August 17th so the window is closing.
