confidence

Wavelength Boulders are currently saturated and actively wet after prolonged heavy rainfall through the winter. With 8mm of rain today, 96% humidity, zero consecutive dry days, and over 300mm in the last 28 days, the rock will be thoroughly wet and dangerously slippery — conditions are clearly unsuitable for climbing.

Based on weather conditions only — does not cover bird nesting restrictions or other access issues.

Site Details

Arguably the best bouldering in the Llanberis Pass, on the south side above the Climbers' Club hut. Around 238 problems on superior quality rhyolite with distinctive stratified formations. The 15–20 minute uphill approach keeps crowds thinner than roadside venues. Named after the classic Wavelength problem (V8).
